Privacy Policy

To run the app, we collect:

• Account information: your name and email address, and a password (stored only in hashed form by our authentication provider).
• Household schedule data: shifts, rotations, jobs, personal events, custody schedules, notes, tasks, dinner plans, and bill reminders you enter.
• Job and income data: pay rates, hours worked, PTO balances, and calculated earnings.
• Coworker contact info: when you add a coworker for shift swaps, we store the name and any phone number or email you choose to enter.
• Payment information: subscription payments are processed entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card number. We only receive the subscription status, plan, and billing metadata Stripe returns.
• Basic technical data: IP address, browser type, and product usage events needed to operate and secure the service.

We use the information above to:

• Run the shared calendar, conflict detection, income tracking, and swap/PTO logging features.
• Generate rotations and notify you about conflicts and upcoming events.
• Process subscription payments and manage your billing status.
• Send account and product-related emails (receipts, password resets, service updates).
• Diagnose bugs and improve the product.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your household schedule or income data with third parties except the service providers we need to run the app — for example Stripe for payments and our hosting, database and analytics providers. These providers act on our instructions and only process the data needed to deliver their service.

We do not use your household data to train advertising models or sell it to data brokers.

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription, we retain your household data so you can resume the account later. If you delete your account from Settings, we remove your account and the household data associated with it, and cancel any active Stripe subscription.

Backups are rotated on a rolling basis and residual copies clear within roughly 30 days. You can request a full export or deletion at any time by emailing melissarblevins@gmail.com.

Data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored encrypted at rest by our hosting and database providers. Access to production systems is restricted and authenticated. No online service can guarantee perfect security, but we work to protect your information using standard industry practices.

CMD + SHIFT is not directed at, or intended for use by, children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we'll delete it.

We use cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences. We use basic product analytics to understand which features are used so we can improve the app. We do not use advertising trackers.

You can access, correct, export, or delete your data at any time. Most of this is available directly in your account Settings. For anything you can't do in-app, email us and we'll help.

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, notify you by email or an in-app message before the changes take effect.
