Terms of Service

By creating an account, accessing, or using CMD + SHIFT, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

CMD + SHIFT is a household scheduling and coordination tool for shift-based jobs, family events, and income tracking. It provides a shared calendar, rotation generator, conflict detection, PTO and swap logging, an income overview, and related productivity features.

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that happens under your account.

A household account may include more than one member (for example, both partners). Both household members share visibility into shared data, and either member can add, edit, or delete shared schedules, events, jobs, income entries, tasks, and notes. Both members are jointly responsible for what is entered into the household account. Private items (private schedules and private Shift Reset entries) remain visible only to the member who created them.

CMD + SHIFT is a paid subscription with a 14-day free trial. A payment method is required to start the trial. If you do not cancel before day 14, your card is charged for the plan you selected. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel.

Founding Family pricing: $49/year, limited to the first 100 customers, and locked in for as long as the subscription remains continuously active. If you cancel and later resubscribe, you'll be billed at the then-current standard pricing.

Standard pricing after the founding offer closes is $69/year or $7.99/month.

Cancellation: you can cancel anytime from your account settings. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep access through the end of your current billing period.

Refunds: we don't offer prorated refunds for partial billing periods, but if you were charged unexpectedly or believe you're owed a refund, email melissarblevins@gmail.com within 14 days of the charge and we'll make it right.

CMD + SHIFT is a personal organizational tool, not an official system of record. Shifts, rotations, swaps, PTO balances, and any other schedule data in the app are entered by you or generated from patterns you configure. They are not synced with, verified by, or authoritative over any employer scheduling system.

You are solely responsible for confirming your actual work schedule, shift assignments, trades, and PTO through your employer's official scheduling system. CMD + SHIFT is not liable for missed shifts, scheduling conflicts, lost pay, discipline, or any other employment consequences resulting from reliance on the app.

You agree not to:

• Use the service to violate any law or infringe anyone's rights.
• Upload content that is unlawful, harassing, or that you don't have permission to store.
• Attempt to break, probe, or overload the service, or reverse engineer it.
• Resell, sublicense, or use the service to build a competing product.
• Enter another person's contact information (for example a coworker) without a good-faith basis for doing so in the course of coordinating your own schedule.

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement, to the fullest extent allowed by law.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CMD + SHIFT and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, wages, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the service — including but not limited to missed shifts or employment consequences. Our total aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

You can cancel your subscription and delete your account at any time from your account settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or that create legal or security risk. On termination, your access ends and associated data may be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to its conflict of law rules. You agree that any dispute arising from these terms or the service will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Florida, and you consent to their personal jurisdiction.

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, notify you by email or an in-app message before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
